AWKA ETITI DILEMMA..

 OKA ETITI ekenem Unu as we look at the Metaphor of HIGH CHIEF by Last Born.


Ndi Oka rie nu, nua nu, bitikwanu, this matter that have been bothering me for sometime, I want to bring it to discuss and let somebody educate me and clear my ignorance Maka asi ikwu amaghi, ibe Ezi ya also onye ajuju adighi Efu Uzo.


We have this imported Vainglory that have the capacity of turning our known Culture to imported chaos.


The issue of HIGH CHIEF, where did it come from and on whose strength was it established?. 


High Chief, how HIGH is it?


Is it Higher than NZE na OZO or lower than Nze na Ozo?, as we know that Nze na Ozo is the highest seat of  Ancient Culture and tradition na OKA ETITI gba gburu gburu. 

Also only genelogian Aborigines are inducted into Nze na Ozo and they are sacred if judged by the parameters of Ndi mgbe Ochie. 


So this imported HIGH CHIEF MYTH, are they subject to Nze na Ozo or Nze na Ozo kow tow to them?. 


Is High Chief mightier than Ndi Ichie (Counsel of Chiefs) or it is not as High as that?.


We know that Ichies are the elected Traditional Ministers that takes center spread as far as Culture of Oka ETITI is at stake, they are reposed with the consent of Ndi Umunna and VILLAGE to hold the sacred throne of an Ichie, but in case of the newly imported High Chief, how did they get the mantle of office?.


Who discussed it and where was it given Consent or say acceptable effect as part of Chietain in the Town? 


Who created that title and for which purpose and what benefit to the Town or the Kindred that projected and presented them, if that is the modus of conferrment. 


As I do not know who projects them or where they derive the Powers of the HIGH CHIEF, I want somebody to draw me nearer.


Are they going to become the Principalities of the Town?. 


Are they Higher than Igwe?.. For the HIGH before the Chief may someday grow higher than even the Town.


I am asking this question because a stitch in time saves Nine pence, if we did not discuss and put this metaphor in the right corner, a generation will come and start taking title called  "HIGHER THAN HIGH CHIEF OKA ETITI" and then without defined terms of ethronement, they may usurp powers that not even the Igwe with PG, Ndi Ichie, Nze na Ozo will be able to contain.


Finally, if this is acceptable as Hireachy in our Town, then a clear definition shall be included, because it can never be based on affluence as Ndi be anyi na Egbo Ezigbote Ntu and it will be ear pricking na onye Ndu Obodo no na MKPORO Maka Ntu.


Advisory Note... It will be great if Ndi OKA should seat back and take once again the stool of Leaders like it use to be back in the days.. But we shall start by being careful on our output, because people tend to address you the way you dress. 


If we want to confer Chieftancy on anybody, The name must be with the approval of certain verification commitee... 


If we give somebody OPUTAOBIE, there must be evidence of mgbe oputalu okwu bie. 


Agada gbachiri Uzo must have record of protecting even if Umunna ya only, there must be a valid History of event that necesited such name. 


Onwa must be one who Shine and others sees with the reflection even as Ogaranya Murum ma nya enyenam Nri is a good metaphor.

Also when one craves Chieftancy, there must be certain deeds that can be found in his Chronicles, not onye kpata two and six Ozoba Chieftancy, ohabu onye akojuro mbubo ozaba Eze Odumegwu.
