Just last week, the Vice President of Nigeria, Fmr Pastor, Professor Yomi Osinbajo visited Anambara State with Pomp and pagentary.
He came to give us a reminder that we are still under siege, that we're still conquered territory in reality but with a window dressing that shines a better light at the sight of outsider or those that watches from afar.
Well, he came and all the Roads where closed for reasons I can't tell and can't see rational behind, but in my IGBOTIC mind, I will run a diagnosis which will tell me that.. It was done to starve us of freedom.
I know they will say it is security measure, but I will disagree because there is nothing in the East of the Niger that can be said to represent Terrorism, so there is absolute no cause for any alarm.
If we had Lawyers that are Hot and knows the Business of HUMAN RIGHT, one would have sued the Federal Government on the closure of roads during visit, then another will sue them to explain the rational of the 10K Traders money, where it comes from and where it is going.
In a Nation that has God fearing leaders, there is no need that will provoke the President, talk less of the Vice to close down Roads and Business because he is coming to see the people, we all know that once he drive along with his Litany of Securities, retinue of Convoys and Despatch Riders, that the road users will make way for them and that will also make him to see first hand the life of hustling among the people.
The only thing he can be scared about while visiting Alaigbo are the Hawkers who will like to sale Gala and Coke to him and nothing more, but he found self so ritheous and Holy not to be seen around people who worship same Almighty with him, sorry that was before he became the VP and jettison the Bible.
Well he came to Anambra with traders money, where he closed down our business and ruin our daily income, made our Hustle to took a dive and in reward he gave over 15 people 10K of traders money.
I know that, if truly he has the good tenets of equity in mind, he should have converted the Multi millions wasted on his Protocol, Logistic of the trip, he would've given it to a Minister or send a surrogate to come and give the Akara money to those who will take it, not because it will serve any purpose but because they believe that it is fair share of our "20 Pounds"...
That made me to start asking the gods what is the rational of coming to us with 10K even after the ERECTION and closing our business that would've gave many people more than what they brought with fanfare?..
That was when Kpokirikpo the god in charge of Bridges said to me, POg can't you read in between the line and understand when one looked at you with disdain and when the look is that of admiration?.
Can't you see that they gave about 160 Billion Naira to Herdsmen and begging them to cool down a bit, and we all know what such amount will do to the Arsenal of group that wants to instill carnage in a Society .
Well, I am convinced in my own mind, not in yours that the visit is to cushion the backlash of the 160 Billion ransom we paid to the Herdsmen.
Do not forget that he also visited Second Niger Bridge and Patted self on the back, na fa ekwo Agu afu onu (They have shaved the beard of a Living Lion), sure we can see the Pillars rising, but what we can't see is the 70% GEJ Government soaked into that work before retiring.. Also makes me to remember what VP Osinbajo said when they came during the last Gubernatorial campaign, where he said on National Telly that Federal Government has sunk 2 Billion United States of American Dollars into that Bridge, he said they took the money from Sovereign National Fund.. But when we started querying such grievous claim as the amount would have build 30 pieces of such Bridges, he said he was misquoted and never gave us the right quote, but let me digress.
All I am worried about is the state of eyesore Policing that strected along LAGOS BENIN ROAD, the bare faced of blocking the Federal roads at every 5 Poles by the Police is sending a very bad signal, it seems we are greatly under siege..
Not to talk about the unwarranted postings of Police check points on all the roads in Anambra and yet Criminals continued to have a field day..
If I am asked, I will opine that the IG should mop all those check Points and send them to Zamafra or those hot spot in the North, so they can bring peace to those unpeaceful places.
Finally, I am grateful that Nigeria wants to buy peace with the Terror out North,but the fear is with that sum walking through the purse of the group, will it escalate the Terror and make it to be larger than life?
