Back in the days when Boys are really Men ,just before the GENOCIDAL INVASION of 5th July 1967 ,when Nigerian army invaded Biafra in what they called Police action "Operation torch",because in their warped mentality,since they have taken all the ammunition at ENUGWU Barracks and left behind only 130 Riffles and few bullets,which they carried out under guise of reshuffling of Arms, which is periodic and normal,but then they carried that one out to make sure there is no ammunition in Eastern part ,so thier won't be resistance toward the capitulation planed as designed by Britain who felt that a peaceful coexistent of Awusa,Yoroba and Igbo shall keep them far from our Oil the only minerals they bank on to feed the queen and her Royal highness ,which was why no Oil company in Nigeria including NNPC know for a fact ,how many barrels of Oil the British owned companies , both those they own through proxy produce daily ,no company has the record,also they made sure we don't have working refineries,so we can depend on them for even VASELINE JELLY after they evacuate our Oil , refined same and sale a product out of the many products of the crude,they sale just one part same price of the entire crude which they didn't pay for or accounted for.

On said invasion of July 5th 1967 through Obollo Afor Nsukka , the Students of NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY,the only Nigerian university, came out with bare hands and cudgels and resisted the Vandals and they forced General CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU to declare Biafra independent as they joined Army, never conscripted,and they defended the land for 3 years, thereby defeating the arrogancy of Police Action which they pronounced.

That was when we have Youths with Testicles..

On 17th April 1978 ,when ALI the VC of SOKOTO UNIVERSITY added just 50 Kobo to the 1 naira fifty Kobo that students feeding was , during the time Joe martin's Uzodike "Dike Udo"  was the SUG President of University of Sokoto,he refused to allow the insult rest and he approved the Heckling which later was known as ALI MUST GO, which is the highest Students demonstration in Nigeria till date.

Those are the days when students stand up to be counted,now they simply join Cultism and Ogwu Ego which they called Yahoo plus .

As ASUU called off strike,they may get paid for months they did not work,but can the students get paid back the Tuitions,the Lodge rents, other loses incurred?.

Can the Schools reward the students even if it's Marks just as mild appreciation for staying cool all this 8 months ?.

In either ways ,it's the students that lost and parents the worst hit and the Government are silent about the backlash on students.

The Government should wade in and address all the losses of the students and cushion some if not all of it ,since the Government and ASUU wants to meet equity,they should go with washed hands .

Give students a Year waiver or Jump them a session as compensation.
