Is SEDC (SOUTH EAST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION) DECOMMISSIONED? the ways and the Jinx , written by Mkpisi Ndi Egede.

Precisely on July 24, 2024: President Tinubu signed the SEDC Act into law, creating the commission.

February 12, 2025: The board was inaugurated, marking the start of full operational status for the commission. 

And Mark Okoye was placed in charge of the commission, which many Political Neophytes praised as innovation but I called it tactical Political ûnû ga eme gini ?.

SEDC is over one years , Six months and the Agency is yet to take off outside ibughari Laptop and write a Ton of ideas that many know will not fly ,and our Senators, Elders and Think tankers refused to ask self ,why is it that whenever they wants to appoint something for Ndigbo at Federal level which other divide will nominate and forward the names ,they will choose one insignificant person or somebody who can't actually sale the place or make it worthy and shove it down our throat as our Choice and no remonstration from us.

They assume that we are cool ngwuró everybody na etitori at will. Make onye kpó óba ta mkpokoro just like we kept doing,others will use it as dump Yard.

They gave us one Minister whose name I can't recall ,who hasn't even started anything to market her presence in the field. We swallowed hook, liner and sinker,and they smiled at us as conquerors over the conquered.

Her tenure is counting and yet nothing can be noted as plus and after the tenure of JAGABAN, there's no way she can be mentioned for any other position just like many past Deputy Governor's in ANAMBRA State ,they reduce them to Ndonu,but I digress.

We have Bianca Ojukwu as Junior Minister on external affairs.

We have Mark Okoye who is Green Horn to start South East agency and because he is green Horn,that haven't given him a penny budget and he is about 2 Years without anything to show from that office.

Why didn't they give such position to tested and trusted amongst us ? So that results will abound.

They draw Ambassadorial list ,they brought another unknown name and insert into the list , maybe to give it semblance of balanced equation,what can they give to such unknown if not unknown country?

We have trusted and vibrant youths and even elders ,which we can send to front and they meet the confront with aka Onye wetalu,but No ,we always allow the Feds to insult us by giving us achikota Ekweonu., actually it was carried because divided we are and we know that divided we continue to fall but united we mutate into forceful enigma.

Soon Tenure Tinubu ga agwu and Ndigbo has nobody benefited or positioned to shout for us and all can be said is Marginalization ,but I can tell us that if we want respect,we don't ask for it ,we go for it with 2x2.

Even if Peter is not likable within the circle of his peers ,but can we at least come together and say enough of manipulation from the Feds ?

Imagine ,they all meet at the House of Senator Chris Ngige as the eldest Igbo that played on State and National ,all from Ebonyi, Enugwu, IMO, Abia and Anambara but not one ADC or even PA will enter the hall with them ,keep them all outside so they will not know information to pass on ,even if una just play Ludo, but kept it a secret,then later go home without saying anything,that day Aso Rock will be on Panic mode and make it a ritual to be meeting without ADC or PA na ZUZUGBE ,they will know Ndigbo has understood the politics of Ukwu Aziza.
