It was so because they are used to lecturing students,and no student has the moral fiber to argue against him or even come closer to argue or you flunk his subject with Prejudice mind ,no matter how good you are,they don't want you to make sense to them,they always think selves as demi gods and others outright daft that must serve them without condition .
