This 2019 shall be well if we generally wants it to be, and it all depends on how we Vote, for you can't mortgage your future by handing over your future to one PROFESSIONAL DEFICIT, somebody who is never qualified to even act as Gate man in a Market place, but owing to religious sentiment, Cultural dilly darling, Financial dust peck and you expect the person to deliver a PETER OBI Performance? Odiro possible, like my old will say, Okuko ga abu Oke, na esi na Aju (A cock starts from the Shell, not after birth) . 

Sure, the candidate may be your relation, your party candidate but you knew nothing about his or her pedigree, the person has no history of any sustainance, has no known enterprise created or nurtured, has no business managed or office perfected, but out of no where the person became a candidate and they cajoled you into handing your vote to the Dude, just know that your Stupidity is flying Kite, for you just kissed a leperous future and Ekpenta shall be your reward.

Take whatever money they gave you if you are that hungry, but vote for the right person, the person you are convinced will work and deliver a breath taking effort, which may not be the best, what is required is the best effort of the fellow.

Then perish that thought that your Vote Doesn't count, that after Voting they rig it, so therefore no need to vote right, that is where I pray that every Weed you smoke or the one others smoked but you inhaled same by proxy should leave your brain alone in Jesus Name. 

If your Votes doesn't count, why then do you think they pay you to even try the voting exercise in the first place?. 

Why do you think they waste all that money going to Campaign?. 

Why do you think they spend so much energy attending events they can't attend again after election, Win or lose ?. 

Let me assure you that your VOTE counts, infact your Vote is so important that just a silly appendage, you have ruined your incoming generation with bad leadership. 

Just take your vote like Heavenly Race, you do not know if doing the right thing is what qualifies you to enter heaven, but that has been the concept since Uwa jiri bido (Beginning of time), also from the testament of the Bibles, we do good things with believe that it qualifies us to a better life after this life,,,, just RUN A GOOD RACE and leave the result to Faith and Heaven.. 

Same way you write your Exams and within you, you know you did well, yet they may Mark you with Prejudice, which will not make you to say, next time you will write wrongly... 

Just write the right thing and allow posterity to take over.

As this is the first day, I won't write a lengthy piece, and again, I want to make a pledge that I won't be writing a lengthy piece, but what do we gain if we can't read MAZI ODERA POg lengthy article that is always filled with Sound resources and sources hidden within the flexible body of content?.

2018 in Review..

FEDERAL Government and wrong parking on Igbo Frontage by Mazi Odera POg 31st Dec 2018.

As much as it brings glamour to have our people at both divide of any Politics and Political Party , so ebe osina puta anyi no ya, but the reason an Igbo Parlance provides na agadi Nwanyi da nda Ada na abo, ogua ife obu na ukpa onu (When an Old woman fell down twice on her jouney to the market, she will take stock of her wares, to know if they still have enough undamaged that will survive and meet the market).

Between APC and PDP is like YOUNG SHALL GROW MOTORS and EEKESON MOTORS, both operate same kind of Vehicles, same nauseating Terminus if one can call the station such, same pattern of aggressive loaders and Drivers that prefer to fight than to settle with sweet and soothing words.

Well, they shouted that CAPITAL OIL, THE TYCOON WITH AUDACITY AND CAPACITY IN OIL AND GAS must be crippled... Reasons muted.. 

They released a list and announced the Company the highest debtor... 

Well come with me gently, hold my hand, please don't squeeze my hand just hold it with Love as we walk along and around the Treaspasses of CAPITAL OIL and Gas, and the financial sins..

The Government closed all his businesses for close to 4 years, egg on NNPC the Debtor to the Company in question to elbow the company out because of Tribal conflict.

We know that Oil and Gas is not Akamu na Akara, the business thrives on Billions and having in mind that No Igbo Man with Ideas have one OIL BLOCK to his name, and please do not tell me that we have one who donates money in Millions without any factory, School or any empowerment institution that will build Alaigbo a future or her citizens a Financial fall back and or back bone.. 

He donates millions to groups, which will Be shared instantly and wasted in one stupor or orgy, but I digress... 

As much as I do not favor or flavor the Political ETILOGWU of the CEO of the CAPITAL CAPACITY, but I am pained that such a maverick will be hounded and haunted by the Government who empowered Daft from other Tribal divide. 

If only the Government has shown him love the same way, sorry not same way but part of the way they did to his contemporaries in that industry there would've been a better Palette to Judge him. 

We know that OIL AND GAS is industry that brings money in Tons,  also it consumes Money in Tons , if the Government are friendly sorry about that, for they have no plans to be friendly to anything East of the Niger, so what I should say is, if the Government are considerate in her Vision to take this Nation out of the stinks and mess we swim in, they would've and could've known that CAPITAL OIL was on lock Down for what other Oil and Gas Merchants get a pat on the back and discussed over caveat, but his tribe made them to used fetters of Iron to chain his businesses all over the Nation, putting over 15,000 Employed Nigerians into Labour market and forcing other beneficiaries in his scheme to cry in pains and abandonment.

What a Government with conscience and concern would've done is to balance his mistakes with that of other Merchants without measuring his with Tribal Thermometer bringing to fore an Igbo saying which provides "eme onye ka emelu ibeya, Obi adiya nma" (What is good for the Geese is also good for the Ganda,,, Female and Male specie) . 

The Government should have called him, seat him by the side of RIVER NJABA, smack his left ear as a warning, then inject into his Business a life saving Fund and allow this young man to stop wasting his Iconic business talent in a Political field, where he only fall into the hands of Ndi Fomfojuo akpa. 

He is a Business Genius and having him tethered is killing this Nation with blunt knife.His Vacuum in OIL and GAS is hurting the nation in General. 

It is only the grace and ingenuity of an IGBO MAN that made the CEO of CAPITAL CAPACITY to still put food on his family table,Run for Money guzzling enterprise like Campaign for 3 segments without aids,Erecting a Sports Environment that is Mega, having in mind that the Government he stood his ground and made sure that PMS importers never raped them without Condom, even when all Fuel Importers merged to suffocate life out of the Nation, he was the one man who stood and said never again, he opened his Tank Farms and vend Fuel with Full Capacity and other were forced to join.. 

The thanks he got is total cramp down on his enterprise...and somebody with sense will tell me that this is not another escalation of ABANDON PROPERTY? 

Let the Government reopen his business, wave him a survival waiver and see how he will clear any backlog and also stand behind the Nation in trial moments like he has been doing..

The Nation is in Austerity of good men,let them not bury the Few good men because of the Tribe and Tongue...

Sunday Political tribute..

ATIKU and the Virgin god, the Expose by Pen of the gods 30/11 /18.

The flippant assault of the lighting, the boom of the Thunder and the dry motion of the Harmattan perched on my skin with cramps that caged my emotion, as DODOKIRIDO breezed into the House with his bag of AKPATA OYI (Goose pimples) hanging from his ear lobe, I knew that something was wrong when he queried "Onye si gi nyua, na obu na ani?" (Who ask you to deposit your excrete, that it is a Bush)..He was talking to ICHERE the god in charge illegitimate Children, especially those born with the DNA of the VANDALS that invaded our land from 1967, when they rained Hell on us for NO JUST CAUSE but hatred conceived out of jealousy that was made manifest because we build a Future out of Nothing. 

The Hatred was a result that anyi na eti Igwe na achaghi acha (We forge iron without soften it through Flames of Fire), while others clinge on National Cake, we bake our own cake with ferments and remnants from the stables of the Ruling class, but because we pour our souls into baking it, it come out tasting fantastic and oozing wonderful Aroma that always provoke those who refused to allow us taste the National Cake that we are supposed to have 1/3 of the original share, judging with the Constitutional provision of being part of the Tripod Nation.

Make him minister of Health, a position he is not tutored in, he will make Doctors to appear like Ndi Ara,, then put him in charge of Federal Housing, Power, Finance, planning.. I can bet you that the hatred he gets from Alaigbo by those who felt he opened the Pandora Boxes and let the world knew that you can be a good Governor without borrowing or leaving behind mountains of debt, that you can inherit great Debt, clean same and leave Tons of Credit.. 

That made haters to hate him,so if he is handed any position at National, I bet you that he will get National haters because he will show the World that things can still work fine in Nigeria without outside interference... Moving on.. 

As onye Ushe and Onye Oja were battling for supremacy, I simply kwuo Ikiri to UMUCHU to remove what I placed on the air that helped NTANANKE to become a success. 

Having said the above, let me make bold to say that, after looking at the present heavy weight candidates on Presidential platform.. 

It is only ATIKU ABUBAKAR OF PDP that has never spilled our blood,any IGBO person fusiri ara, welu na anu akpu must be one of the tainted DNA and I make no apology to say to the person.. Zuzuru gaba Maka ife na eme gi, di gi na Obara..

A View to a a redemption..

A deep look into 2019,the Waxing and the awake by Mazi Odera POg 28/12/18.

As the year 2018 is about to round up, as the nation never have the reason or a reasons to celebrate. 

As the Nation both the High, middle and low mourn in diverse podium, some are victims of refined Slavery, some buried the brothers, wife, children, friends and relations in an unprovoked aggressions. 

Some buried the business because of Sterile Government ideas necessitated from hang over hatred emitted to cage Ndi aka fa di Ocha. 

Some lost Job they held over the decades and what held them right and tight but the unreasonable policies forced serious deficiencies and forced many companies off the grid, which the Government cared less, sorry, I should care they never cared at all. 

Because of the catastrophic nature of the Government which was not strange to some of us who witnessed the 1984 debacle when they torpedoed a Civilian Government that was putting right things into perspective, but mistakenly started chasing the acidic case of corruption headed by Senator Saraki senior , sorry let me rephrase the last part, they started excavating the putrid oozing out of the disappearance of 2.8 Billion Naira, our oil money that went missing in 1977, which were traced to MIDLAND BANK IN LONDON, reminds me that Britain are what my people referred to Okey aruru Ani na aso Oke ma welu na ekelu ya Umuaka (A treacherous Adult that hate Rat meat, but takes pleasure using the teeth in dividing the meat for children).

They are what can be called GLOBAL OBATA OSU, the seat of Ala adighi Nma.

Let's say, you want to cut down the cost of Housing, you can't borrow from the Former Governor of Lagos Raji Fashola who said that Landlords in Lagos during his Tenure, which he concluded and left behind Debt of over 1 Trillion Naira, must take 1 Year Rent and or 6 months without making provisions to aid the high cost of building materials or the Revenues Government impose or collect from Landlords, but he jumped inn and decree that you must collect 6 months, Landlords are not aliens, so they silently devise a means, if you want a house you can pay for 6 Months, go to Alawusa the office of the Governor to give you one, that this one is not available, but if you want to pay the Rent that is obtainable, then the house is empty. 

Since Lagos state under Fashola never built a Kiosk talk less of House, they can't provide alternative, so the Decree died on the planning table. The only Housing project done in Lagos was by Lateef Jakonde, the Soul of Western Politics. 

That same Fashola whose policies makes one to suspect if he is same one with SAN PREFIX to his name, he was made Minister of 3 very powerful ministries in this Government, this is what makes the Government of the incoming President Atiku with his ICVP PETER OBI to remain the Oxygen this Nation needed, sorry I would have said West Africa but they should start in Nigeria, the Giant of Africa with mosquito legs presently. 

Having Housing, Works, Power under same man whose reign in Lagos can be called OKOTORIGBA, that is judging with the Huge resources in Lagos as designed by having every other Port in the Nation to lie farrow while Lagos prospered, having same man in charge of Federal Positions are extremely insanity if you ask anybody who reasons..

Housing is a Gigantic ministry that if placed under one with tiny Idea, not even a full Idea, that person may set up Housing projects, say 1,000 Low Housing estate per state every Year and in 4 Years, we should have had enough accommodations to eliminate the deficit, but since he became the Minister, the only thing that has gone well in that ministry is the evacuation of the Housing Budget. 

Power takes hold of Lights and such ministry can recreate a nation for when there is light, the TELECOMS will stop generating Network empowered with Diesel Generations that run 24/7 which they hid under our charges and the Government simply smile and demand another money from them, which they will also pay and make your AIRTIME to disappear without trace.

Since Fashola started as the joint Minister, what that place has turned into is MINISTRY OF DARKNESS. 

Yet the Government never saw it fit to yank him off or seperate powers and move them into efficient and sufficient hands... 

Can we talk about WORKS?.. 

The only Roads that were paved under him are Roads leading to certain stomach and some on surface they grade one year one Head Pan of Coal Tar... 

I refused to judge the present Government with the hatred they have for South East which made them to abandon everything called Federal presence on our soil, but how about those other places that provided the said 97% Votes?. 

Well, as we move on into 2019, what I know is that anybody that says Sai Baba.. May God grant the person life that replicate the kind of Governance APC and Chai Baba has being giving to the Nation.

In Nigeria today, nobody Mourns the death again because even our Agile Soldiers are been slain not even in battle Fields, but even right inside the base.. Same with the Police and Civilians are just like squirrels they hunt off tracks and burn as rejected offerings. 

There was a parlance they used in 2015, which provides "If Baba brings NEPA BILL, we must vote him", we'll he brought Photocopied NEPA BILL, they voted him and he gave us Photocopied Governance.

Now if ATIKU and OBI brings Dogs Stench, we must Vote them for atleast we have seen that what they have survived, and prospered and, plus they can't trek 800 Meters, they can run 8000 Meters.

Boxing the Boxing Day....

Today is Boxing day, but alien to Nigerian culture and context.

Once it is spelt like the usual Roforofo we are used to, many think Boxing day is a day to fight, which is not..

Boxing day is a dedicated day to exchange Gifts, especially in a Civilized world where Families erect Christmas Trees, under the tree they place Boxes wrapped with Names of the owner, some will be there over a Month but nobody will even peak talk less of opening it until the BOXING DAY, when everybody will gather round the tree and open his Box with excitement.

Back in Nigeria, if you dare Have such a tree and wrap Boxes, place same under any tree , you will be surprise that many of them will be stolen or somebody will wake up at night and remove all the original content and reclose them or Thieves will come into the house and steal them all, showing that something is seriously wrong with us as black people.

We don't even have spirit of giving, everybody wants to receive monetary gift, none wants Christmas or New Year Card or Flowers.

Even those that expects you to give them gift, cannot afford to give you Card in return or lieu, just ikwata UKWA na osisi Ukpaka.

5)Was he the one that served as Petroleum Secretary in 1977 and 2.8 Billion Naira get missing like Fela sang..

The fact is that one can argue about Obi’s   parsimony;  whether as a trader he would leave his shop chasing criminal or not; but one cannot argue about his affinity with facts and figures which is as strong as the attraction between an antigen and an antibody. 
I also see people faulting his comparison of Nigeria with countries like China, Turkey, Mexico and South Africa. He uses those countries because in the eighties, Nigeria was at par with them in most economic indicators. In choosing them, typical of his nature, he was just trying to act like a gadfly, provoking Nigerians to  seek answers to the reasons those countries left us behind.
For those in love with  the Cross checking of facts, I will present  the sources of the date  Obi used during the debate. Let me forewarn  readers, as I said earlier, that economic data do not obey the laws of exactitude. 
Here we go!.

1.    Obi said  Nigeria used over 50% of her revenue to service debt
Facts: According to DMO’s 2017 reports on Nigeria’s debt stock and total debt service, Total Debt Service as %age of FGN Retained Revenue was 58.56% in 2017.

2.    Obi said the country’s  total debt stock was N22.7 trillion, about USD80 billion.
Facts: According to DMO’s June 2018 report on Nigeria’s debt stock, Nigeria’s total debt stock was N22.38 trillion or USD73.21 billion using an official exchange rate of N305.70/USD. When we add the USD2.8 billion Eurobond issued in November 2016, the total debt stock comes to USD76.01 billion.

3.    Obi said that Mexico’s GDP  was over USD1 trillion and its GDP per capita was  over USD8,000.
Facts: According to the world bank (source: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.MKTP.KD?locations=MX&view=chart), Mexico’s 2017 GDP (constant 2010) was USD1.28 trillion while its GDP per capita (constant 2010) was USD9,946.16

4.    Obi said that South Africa’s stock market capitalization was USD900 billion.
Facts: According to Stock Market Clock (https://www.stockmarketclock.com/exchanges/jse),  in March 2018, South Africa’s market capitalization was USD891.74 billion.
5.    Obi said that Nigerian bank loans made up 15% of GDP.
Facts: According to world bank (source: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/FD.AST.PRVT.GD.ZS?locations=NG&view=chart), Nigeria’s domestic credit to private sector by banks as a percentage of GDP was 14.15%.

6.    Obi said that Nigeria had the highest number of Poor at 87 million – growing by 6 persons per minute
Facts: According to a Brookings Institute publication, “The start of a new poverty narrative” published by Homi Kharas, Kristofer Hamel, and Martin Hofer on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 (source: https://www.brookings.edu/blog/future-development/2018/06/19/the-start-of-a-new-poverty-narrative/), “At the end of May 2018, our trajectories suggest that Nigeria had about 87 million people in extreme poverty, compared with India’s 73 million. What is more, extreme poverty in Nigeria is growing by six people every minute, while poverty in India continues to fall. In fact, by the end of 2018 in Africa as a whole, there will probably be about 3.2 million more people living in extreme poverty than there are today.”

7.    Obi said that Nigeria’s Human Development Index (HDI) ranking moved from 152 - 157

12.     Obi said that Nigeria had the highest number of out-of-school children
Fact: According to a July 25, 2017 BBC report titled “Nigeria’s has largest number of children out of school in the world” and which quoted a UNICEF publication titled on Quality Basic Education” (Source: https://www.unicef.org/nigeria/education.html), Primary school enrolment has increased in recent years, but net attendance is only about 70 per cent, but Nigeria still has 10.5 million out-of-school children - the world’s highest number. Sixty per cent of those children are in northern Nigeria. In fact, Nigeria’s out-of-school children is now 13.5million.

13.     Obi said that the FG budgeted N340 billion on health and paid over N1 trillion on PMS subsidy. Education budget was about N400 billion.

According to FG’s budget office (Source: http://budgetoffice.gov.ng/index.php/resources/internal-resources/budget-documents), total allocation to the Federal Ministry of Health for 2018 was N340.46 billion; hence, annual PMS subsidy payment is 4.11 times 2018 health budget. Alternatively, health budget is 24% of annual PMS subsidy.
Total allocation to the Federal Ministry of Education for 2018 was N605.79 billion; hence annual PMS subsidy is 2.31 times 2018 education budget. Alternatively, education budget is 43.27% of annual PMS subsidy.

14.     Obi said that the ease of doing business ranking was currently at 146. However, all the BRIC and MINT countries were below 100

16.    Obi said that China created 7.2 million jobs within first 6 months in 2018
Fact: According to a report on chinadaily.com.cn website titled “China added 375 million jobs in past 40 years”, which was updated on September 17, 2018, a total of 7.52 million new jobs were generated in urban areas in the first six months – 170,000 more than the same period last year. 17.   Obi said that Nigeria’s 4,000 MW electricity generation was too low
Fact: The Nigeria Electricity System Operator of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Monday said that it generated 4,176 Mega Watts (MW) at 06:00 hour of Sunday, 02 December 2018. Meanwhile, at 06:00 hours of Saturday, 01 December 2018, the Nigeria Electricity System Operator of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) daily report said that the electricity market recorded 4,124MW energy generation. Whereas the electricity market, according to the report, has a maximum available capacity of 7,652.6 (MW), what it sent out on Friday, 30 November 2018 was 3,910.40 MW, an indication of un-utilized 3,742.2MW on the day under review.
