An Open Appeal to GOV BABAJIDE SANWOLU, Lagos Governor From Mazi Odera POg JP. 

Greetings His Excellency the Governor, I bring you good tidings and Love. 

First I welcome you to the treachery called Governance, where things are done with odds and no even. 

Sir, it is known that repetition of flawed adventure can never make it right. 

The worst mistake one can do is to give a Cup of Water with his favorite cup to a Monkey, certainly the monkey will drank the water and hop off unto the branches of trees scattered in the Wild and that means Bye to the Cup. 

There are some Political blunders committed by Politicians in cause of carrying out blurred agenda, they created monsters that has refused to go away.. 

PRESIDENT OBASANJO gave protection and allowed OPC to become Predator but limited to Yoroba state.

They terrorize the states and today, they have become Silent Police of the West and as we speak they have taking over, sorry, let me rephrase, they have evaporated and disappeared into Controlling the Parks, Bus Stops, Markets and Elections in the West. 

The Worst is they are now wearing a Government Uniformed called LASTMA. 

In the days of PREZ GEJ, we heard and saw the emergence of Militant they also reigned Supreme at Creeks, Water ways and Pipe lines and they seem unstoppable.

They are now Rich enough and powerful enough to crash fear into minds of any security Agency that wants to have incursion into those strong holds. 

They became the King of the Jungle.. 

Boko Haram at the Formation of PREZ Buhari, then second Phase introduced HERDSMEN,as we speak they fear no Foe, Security of the nation tremble before and near them.. They have being classified by USA as Terror.. 

but listen Dear Governor,... 

None of this outfits will ever go out the way they came, they remain menace that has held the nation and state in choking grip and they have no intention of doing good to anything or anybody, they love to be the menace, even in South East we have our own Menace but quarantined so far... 

Sir, I read the DARE DEVIL LAW you handed over to the same LASTMA, a move that lacks common sense, infact it lacks everything and anything called sense, for it will bring so much death, Wars and it will bring affront to Federal Agencies that are supposed to carry out National and designated assignment, which you have ceded to LASTMA by error of judgment. 

Infact I expect Lawyers to have sued your Government for wreck less pronouncements.. 

I will paste your laws and hold my opinion in bracket within each.. Thanks.. 

Lagos State New Traffic Offences And Their Fines.

1. Driving without a Driver’s licence – Impound vehicle. 

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts..... Let's say that somebody, especially those Urchins that Manned Car Parks, where we park Car as Lagos state has no viable and or protected Parks.

Infact there is no designated Park anywhere in Lagos, owned by Lagos or any Government, so we make use of alternate Parks, where one Park his Car and the handlers of the Park, most times demand for the Key to enable them repark or remove vehicles, incase one ones to Exit with suddenness..

 So imagine when one of those Park attendant takes a parked Vehicle to cruise or FLEX, which they always do, as they know that they owner will be back late evening..

 If the attendant takes the Car out and as we know, they don't have License or have the eagerness to get one, if they are caught or they in conniviance with the LASTMA officials, they run into the LASTMA and they Impound the Vehicle, then they share the loot, what does it make your Government).. 

2. Driving of any vehicle by person under 18 – N30,000.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Who pays the Fine, the Under age who may have taking the parents or Sibbling, Care Giver, Guidian Vehicle, out for a cruise and Land self into the Trap, who pays the Fine, the owner who is sorrowing or the under 18 that don't have 5K to his credit?) 

3. Driving with fake number plates – N30,000, 3 years in prison.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... How about the same urchins saw a money making conspiracy and they connive with Registration bodies and started giving out Fake licenses, so that they will share the Botty with Lastma and Lagos state?.. They will have CARS they siezed and auctioned off to self ) 

4. Driving with forged vehicle particulars – 6 months in prison.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... And how do one know that his Vehicle License was forged if he gave the process to Licensing Agents?) 

5. Driving with fake driver’s licence – 6 months in prison.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... This is Usurpation of ROAD SAFETY DUTIES, this is strictly the duties of FRSC and giving the duties to LASTMA is Evil and illegal, even though the laws of the Nation is epileptic, but our lawyers should get to work and Sue some sense into this Government) 

6. Driving without road worthiness – Impound vehicle.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts..... Do LAGOS STATE have Worthy Roads to determine or demand Vehicles ruined by same Road to be worthy ?.. THIS IS ABSURD to say the least..) 

7. Driving only yellow – N80,000. Enforce painting

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... Is this not chasing irrelevancies... When the economy is in recession, we are chasing shadows and idiocies!!) 

8. Driving with Hackey permit – Impound vehicle.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... What then is the Use of the Permit in the first place?) 

9. No display of Hackey permit – Impound vehicle

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... The VIO and relevant agencies should get involved and scrap it, if it is no longer useful the way it is done with the present state of the Nation) 

10. Kabu Kabu without permit – Impound vehicle

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Hmmmm is it possible for the person that he turned his Private Car to Kabu Kabu?) 

11. Disobeying LASTMA Officer – N30,000/

The same Lastma?.. 

This is enthroning Fatal and unnecessary Evil on the State) 

12. Neglect of traffic direction light – 3 months in prison.

13. Smoking while driving – N30,000/Impound vehicle.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... Is it inside ones private Vehicle or commercial Buses?... One day they will Jam an angry Soldier and wonder go happen) 

14. Physically assault traffic officer – N50,000/6 months in prison.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... Which of the Traffic Officer?.. Lastma or Police Traffic?) 

15. Driving without full light – N50,000.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts..... Full light causes more Nuisance, since it blinds the incoming Vehicle, seems those that craft this law are not Drivers) 

16. Driving with worn out tyre – N30,000.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... That is work of FRSC and not LASTMA) 

17. Driving without spare tyre – N30,000

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.. Another usurping the work of VIO and ROAD SAFETY) 

18. Driving smoking vehicle – N30,000

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.. The Economy of the Nation is smoking, so why worry about Smoking Vehicle on a Dusty Road and Water Logged roads) 

19. No fire extinguisher – N30,000

20. Broken windscreen – N30,000

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... How about if there is accident that happened few minutes before the arrest and that provides Shattered windscreen and may be broken ribs as well? 

21. Tinted windscreen – N30,000

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Same thing that is part of Security duties had been giving to Urchins,Unless the Governor is now commanding even the Police as well) 

22. Eating and driving with one hand – 3 months in prison.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... And you don't think that one of those Dafts will simple imply that one is eating and driving without evidence and if you contest it, it will be tagged fighting TRAFFIC OFFICIAL?.. 

Is there any set aside evidence that will determine when one violates the said Code?) 

23. One way driving – 3 years in prison

(With or without Good roads?.. From Festac to Badagry is Death trap and doing one way which is also Death trapped as well, is the only way out and having in mind that thieves have taking over the Roads from Festac to Abule OSU on event of the ever prevailing Gridlock that is part of the route, week in and out). 

24. Driving without fasten seat blt – N30,000

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... All this childish laws should have served best if we have Traffic Cameras that can be used as evidence and not based on instant justice of a jaundice tout on Uniform) 

25. Not painting a commercial vehicle the approved colour – N50,000

(The Government should designate a workshop where this shall be done Free from all charges, then those who don't oblige after a certain time, may be liable to punishment that shall be administered by Court of Competent jurisdiction.) 

26. No car hire service permit – 1st 20,000; 2nd N30,000, Impond vehicle

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... Soon carrying a friend or a relation can be addressed as a crime by this loafers armed to implement the absurd reeled out as Raw or  traffic Law) 

27. Parking on yellow line on any public highway/

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Is the Yellow line also marked on Water logged roads and where there is no Road and no hope of Road in the near distant ?) 

illegal parking – 1st N20,000; subsequent N30,000

28. Vehicle crossing double yellow line/center line – 1st N20,000; subsequent N30,000.

29. Staying within the yellow junction box (offside rule) – 1st N20,000; subsequent N30,000

30. Failure to yield to right of the way of pedestrian at zebra crossing – 1st N20,000; subsequent N30,000

31. Failure to give to traffic on the left at a roundabout – 1st N20,000; subsequent N30,000.

32. Driving on walkway or kerb – Impound

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Hmmm only to those living in Surulere, and only commercial drivers who are not owners of the Bus shall violate it) 

33. Reversing on the highway & parking on walkways – 50,000 naira

34. Obstruction of traffic -20,000 naira

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts... Who determines the obstruction? The Touts who are ready to shed Blood or Cameras that are no where to be found?) 

35. Picking/Dropping passengers on illegal B/stop -50,000 naira

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... Danfo drivers can do that even in front of POLICE CONVOY, because they don't have anything at stake, they can only run and leave the Vehicle at the mercies of the owner who is never at  fault) 

36. Driving on BRT lanes – 70,000 naira.

(Mazi Odera POg JP reacts.... All the BRT LANES are marked on FEDERAL ROADS, does it mean that FEDERAL ROADS are now privatized or Lagos state has taking over the rights of Federal roads or because Fashola is the Minister and standing things on the head becomes a Norm?) 

... End of the diddle doddle called Traffic Extortive Laws..

Sir, in all fairness, this will peach you against many Lawyers and the law, then also the FRSC shall go to Court for usurpation of their duties, plus the Police can't legally abet the illegality of the collection or enforcement of the warped Laws.

Sir, I will advise you gently shred those illagalities before it starts a Stress and distress that will do everybody Harm than good.
