100 Million Naira Cushion Cheque, the Holes and Gaffe by Mazi Odera POg JP.

Good Morning His Excellency the Governor. 

This is your SPECIAL ADVISER ON GOOD GOVERNANCE, I come this morning to Whisper report on the just concluded OCHANJA INFERNO intervention. 

Sir, like I said at the beginning that this kind of issue will be best handled on the spot, both the validation, assessment and disbursement of Fund.

Now a general Cheque of 100 Thousand per Victim, those who lost thier Shops, Wares, were issued, same thing with those Hawkers and Artesans that lost nothing. 

Those with Bodily Harms were giving 500K and those who lost  lives get 1 Million Naira that goes to Next of Kin. 

Sir, the saddest part of this is the fact that, the Cheques issued to those who Lost thier shops and Wares where issued with malice. 

The names are mutilated, modified that none can cash the Draft. 

They are more grieved because they don't even know where to return the Cheque to be corrected. 

Sir, I advised the committee placed in charge of the intervention to do this SHOP to shop, that way they will stand Infront of affected shops, weight the pros and Cons, then authenticate the owner as verified by the neighbour's, that way this kind of harp hazard job will be avoided.

As we speak the Victims has been victimized the second time and those who lost nothing are in grace or where mobilized in agbata Eke fashion, little did they know that those who harvested the proceed of Fire Disaster just imported a container of KARMA. 

My Governor Akpokue Dike na Aguleri, I will be Frank, real frank with You  on this matter... Giving a man who lost Multiple Millions in a Fire disaster 100K is not intervention at all, it will make a bad matter worse because, any of them that goes out to sought for help, the person will refer to the 100Million Intervention from the GOVERNMENT, not knowing that what they got is what on a good day with the class they operate, they spend a week.
