Just as things around Anambra have become a punishment or external intimidation of the Federal Government which we have taken as it comes , but in midst of it, we still smile and move on as Ndi Igbo anyi bu..
The older generation see things differently and understand things with wisdom, but can't vouch for the NEW generation who sees the hatred that is heaped on us by the Feds and they are wondering if this is actually part of "One Nation, one Destiny?" or the Lopsided treatment is part of the illusive pledge that provides "I pledge to Nigeria my country", since what the new generation witnesses are sending twisted messages each risen day and they have bitter minds, it is provocative enough and juxtaposing such with the Digital age where they get informations at click of a botton on any Android, that arms them to what the older generation wasn't privy to, and that makes them unpredictable , which the federal should see as Clear and present danger and handle things with utmost care.
Along Ichida, Oka Etiti road there stationed Police formation from UGA AREA COMMAND of Nigerian Police mounting a Road block with combined 3 teams on 3 Vehicles.
Same also it located at NNEWI - AMICHI Junction and other places that I am not privy to.
I would've said that is a Plus, if it was to check mate crime and reduce tension , but...
Why should All the Commercial Buses passing through the Trunk A road which the road is, have to stopped by the Police , and make every Passenger to come down from the Vehicle and force them to trek for quarter or a Mile, be it rain or Sun? ..
This is where I have problem and issues with it.
I saw some elderly parents, Senior citizens , Pregnant women, People with disabilities subjected to such inhumanity treatment, as if Alaigbo is under extreme siege.
Despite the fact that Anambara is never Hostile nor aggressive in whatever they do,how come the weak and impoverished has no right or modicum of respect from this Police stationed in Anambara state?, how about the slogan "POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND?, is it only in the North that the Police is a friend? .
Is it because the Governor of the state went on another self imposed Vacation to Houston or because he doesn't care to control the security of the state where he is the Chief Security officer and charge us Security Vote per month even when we are not secured?
How can members of Police who are supposed to be our friends start treating us like lepers and suspects?.
How can even at the midst of hating Ndigbo, the Police will disregard respect to our women, Fathers, Mothers and Senior Citizens..
Can they humiliate people of the North like this knowing that there must be consequences?.
Can the Police subject the Citizens of Yoroba to such inhuman treatment when the leaders will certainly cry out with heavy Voices of anguish ?.
Where are the Legislators from this Part of the world?
Maybe because thier Cars crusing through such Check points unmolested and uninspected, for that they care less about the people who they are supposed to represent.
DEAR Governor Akpokue, we can take many things but we can't take the Siege on our state, our pregnant women can't be subjected to such tortuous expirience, our Children going through such traumatic expirience and it will affect them drastically on how inferior they are because there is no seen situation that one can point to as reason for such humiliation.
Sir, if that is the new Fun the Police are catching, then you have to step up and demand the ones who has human feeling and respect to be deployed to our state.
Anambara is not a War Zone and the Police can't treat us as People under Bounds with fetters unless the mantra shall now be.. Nigeria and her South East Slaves.
I remain Last Born Mpa Nnukwu and I hate Injustice and Prejudice, the right thing shall and must be done.
