Good Morning and Happy Sunday, as we know I do what I have to do in my SUNDAY sermon, because I have loud Voice, most times I whisper to avoid rubbing my Prophetic words on the faces of Ndi Nmehie, but today is central and traditional message... Come with me as you are.. 

We Mark New Yam Festival in IGBOLAND(Now it is marked even Overseas, Lagos, Abuja, Kano) , especially ANAMBARA people who are more harvesters of brotherhood, it is on record that ANAMBARA are the most traveled to Village both for Burial, Marriage, House warming, dedication and even marking Birthday for aged parents, you can never call onye ANAMBARA Ala wu otu (Some states believe wherever they are is home) . 

I said they are most fraternal and if you don't agree with me, kindly argue with your Phone, plus they spend Christmas back home as Christian Tradition demands, but not that others don't like it, I will simply suffice with "Different style for different Folks".

Yam was one of many foods brought to us by Portuguese Anglican Missionaries who came early stage to plant and water Churches, as at that time Roman Catholics don't believe in Mission works,  they don't go out to evangelize they care more battling those with divergent views as doctrine provides, but the protesting arm which is Anglican does the outreach and Evangelism , it is called ANGLICAN because of the English connotation or England origin, it was from England that CHRISTIAN MISSIONARY SOCIETY (CMS) Started..

Church Missionary Society (CMS), society founded in London in 1799 as the Society for Missions in Africa and the East, by Evangelical clergy of the Church of England (those who stressed biblical faith, personal conversion, and piety).

They started it as group that helped in carrying the Gospel to Africa and sundry places, which also involved Men of faith from other Nations, which bring into discuss the import of Yam from Portugal.

Christianity brought so many eateries to us and CMS as a body brought to us EDUCATION which exposed us to Reading and writing, when British Government got involved as protecting unit against Carnibals by providing armed securities to protect the Missionaries, they started slave trade which was independent of the Mission, the Mission brought both Yam, Beans,Rice, Garri, Irish Patatoes and many other eateries, so they really changed our ways of life and gave us a new breath and new Birth, as the Missionaries were busy preaching the Gospel the Army of the Queen were busy harvesting all the Powerful gods in the Land which they took home, provide for them convinent houses, gave them blood of the Slaves they also forcefully or bought from the Warrant Thieves pronounced Warrant Chief they installed in the Land, but the main reason they gave powers to Criminals as Warrant Chiefs are those who can carry out any instruction they gave to them no matter how inhuman that was, the British Army wasn't about JESUS said or did not say, they are all about Queen her Majetsy, but the combination of CMS and Queens Army worked well for both parties, the mission was a success and the Invasion of the queens Army was a success too.

Let's leave the carnage and Pillage and focus on the greater good for today, there is a day for running the Chronicles, not today.. 

Today, most of us especially those who don't believe in Missionaries that came or who don't agree with Church or Jesus celebrate New Yam Festival more, but the question remains, do they know that Yam is the proceed and profit of those who brought Christ to us?. 

That taking one and fighting the others is like an Adult who profess hatred for Dog meat, but always use teeth to share same to children, the smackrel that fitted into his teeth and the oil that filtered into his throat how far?.

My old man will say "Iju Ekwensu, Iju oru ya nile" (When you reject Satan, reject all his work and benefits.. By the way the word EKWENSU is translated as DON'T LET ME START, He is on his own and begging us not to allow him start, don't allow him to enter, but we always invoke his name and inject him into our lives, then he will come inn and do his job and we Will be shouting even though we gave him Visa sorry Residence green Card will sound better).

The most painful part of the IWA JI is that many of the performers don't even plant Yam nor know the process of planting one, talk less of being an active participant, in fact they have not sponsored Yam planting season anywhere , but they will coronate IWA JI, making one to remember the legend of Nwoke Nusia Ogu, Nwanyi enwelu akuko, but let's progress.

For us to be active participants , we should be, also or before - DI JI (YAM LORD, who Farms it to abundance), you can't go to market buy YAM and pronounce self "Anam eri ji", what you do is "Anam esi Ji" (Don't say you are marking New YAM Festival rather you are cooking New YAM).

We are about to go into 2022 the Year ugani ga eme Nigerians isi Okotoko (the year Famine will wear Track Suit in Nigeria) what we should do is to get empty Bags of Rice or Garri and filled same with Top or black Sand, then buy old yams and plant the dogone YAM into it and in 5 Months you harvest and be smiling like Okuko eji eje na Arusi.

Sure, you don't have time to go to Village for farming , even in your Back Yard in Abuja, Lagos, Kano you can place Bags of planted YAM, Cocoa YAM, Patatoes, Ugu and many other things, just water them at intervals.. 

I know you are rich enough to buy trailer of YAM but try this and thank me later, you will see what you are missing and after harvesting, the pride that you are eating what you planted is Top Notch, in fact if Madam or Cook mistakenly mess around with the Home grown YAM, you will change it for them, it is Natural and it helps to increase your Swag.

As we ponder over the season and wonder the type of Hunger that will deal with us next year, let me quickly get to Church and position near the Pillar, so if the Organist start playing divergent tone of the Hymnal, I will stone him with burning  Red eyes and he will change to popular tone..
