RIGHT OF APPEAL FROM UNIZIK BOARD on AVC by Mkpisi

Findings from the UNIZIK brouhaha has taking our brain to test drive and we simply report both Version and hope to get answer to what my father told me , he said that Truth is in the Middle, that your part of the Truth is the Truth, his own part of the Truth is also the Truth, but the absolute truth is in the middle. 

The University Council are insisting that they created a level playing field for emergence of Good Acting VC for UNIZIK without prejudice. 

It should be noted on Fair side that,Medicine faculty have dominated UNIZIK VC position for about 3 consecutive time , from Prof Aheneku, Prof Esimone and they are about to fix Prof IKECHEBELU as if the School is Only medical school Maybe others are Sub, whereas there are so many courses, including Law, Engineering and others that are established and Worthy within the School.

Letter from NUC said Outgoing VC handing over to Most Senior in hireachy is the standard, the baton of leadership will be temporal, and the council told IKECHEBELU to step aside if he wanted to contest for VC and not to come from position of acting VC and contest VC, therefore be a Presiding Judge in his own matter, which is very unfair to others,as he has gigantic advantage with his position of strength and muscle. 

The Board brought a proposal and Memo that provides that any acting VC should be Neutral, should be around 66 years and above, so that the person is hugging retirement age and cannot dabble into the contest for VC.

NUC directive said that Out going VC should handover to Next in hireachy,which it would've been fair for DVC ACADEMICS to contest with IKECHEBELU DVC Admin,but the office of DVC ACADEMICS was left vacant, out gone VC left that office vacant for 2-3 years.

The position would've gone to director  planning but the VC refused to appoint him , that way the slot of temporal VC will be open to only DVC ADMIN Which will continue to place MEDICINE FACULTY as POTENTATE of UNIZIK.

NUC wrote a letter and mandate the interim VC to call meeting of Board on Wednesday the 20th of July,because the Council will come on Saturday to appoint the VC.

The Interim VC shifted the council meeting to this coming week , which is not the directive from NUC .

NOW I ASK as a Layman with lay sense ..

How can an interim or say Temporary Acting VC disobey the council directive to fix a meeting on a certain day ,as he is in temporal capacity ? okwúrú ona akari onye kuru ya ?.

Going against the directives knowing fully well council is coming on Saturday to appoint the acting VC is tantamount to challenging your Chi to a contest of Testing the Might.

 University Professors may have invoke their powers as members of the Senate to summon Senate meeting and act in accordance with Council directive

 And council seeing the act of insubordination held their sitting yesterday.

Well before i sign off ,the domination of MEDICAL FACULTIES are over taking the natural bounds and ndi ózo gbachie nkiti ,then soon UNIZIK aburuzie absolute School of Medicine.

Let me stand aside and watch the game of throne that is ongoing na UNIZIK.
